  2. Apply through the volunteer office's post for the BTIL lab. (Link provided after approval)
  3. Complete the Basic Training listed below

Basic Training 

1. MRI Safety Training.  

Use your credentials to log in to the UCLA MR Safety Training. You should be able to login with you @ucla.edu account (not @medenet). This training can only be done on campus. 

If you email is not working please contact Wilbur, Heather HWilbur@mednet.ucla.edu and request an account. Please state that you are a new volunteer in our lab and CC me. 

There are three parts:  

  • First, you will get all required information needed to enter a MR room (videos and written material). 
  • Second, you will take a test to get certified. 
  • Third, you will be contact by Dr. Peng Hu who will give you a short introductory talk. 

Duration: 1 hour 

2. CITI Training

Follow the instructions and once you receive your logins you can do the training. 

Please complete the following courses: 

  •  Basic Human Research
  • UCLA HIPAA
  • Good Clinical Practice 

Duration: 4 hour
