Start a Collaboration with the PMRI Laboratory

The Preclinical MRI (PMRI) Laboratory welcomes collaborations with UCLA investigators, external researchers, and industry partners.
To begin a new study or schedule imaging sessions, please follow the steps below. Our team is available to assist you throughout the process.

Step 1: Request a New Project

If you are initiating a new study or training session at the PMRI, please complete the Project Request Form.
This form helps us understand your project goals, imaging needs, and required support so that we can coordinate resources effectively.Project Request Form

After your request is submitted, a meeting with the project’s Principal Investigator (PI) and PMRI staff will be scheduled to review project requirements, available resources, and next steps before study initiation.

Step 2: Add Personnel to an Existing Project

All personnel working in the PMRI facility must complete the required training and be added to the approved project protocol.
Use the checklist below to ensure all training steps and documentation are complete before participating in lab activities.Personnel Training Checklist

After completing all training requirements listed in the checklist, the PMRI team will review the documentation and contact the project PI for authorization to add the personnel to the project.

Step 3: Schedule Scan Time

Once your project and personnel are approved, you can reserve scanner time and facility space.
